The Heretics Fork was used more as a form of punishment rather then Torture. It was commonly used to provide an example for convicted Heretics; Discouraging furter dissadence. The fork forces the wearer to keep their head up, in order to prevent their chin from being impaled.

The Stretching rack is quite obvious from its name, like many torture devices. It involved strapping the victim into the rack so that their hands and feet were spread eagle. Then a crack would be pulled and they would be slowly stretched out from head to toe.

The Pear of Anguish was not so much a form of torture, but more of a form of punishment. It was a small pear shaped device with a crank on its end. When the crank is pulled the four leaves of the pear extend outward. Basicly it tore the hell out of any body orifice. It was used on women who were thought to have conducted a miscarriage, and on male homosexuals.

The cradle comes in two variants; the Judas Cradle and the normal Cradle. The Judas Cradle was a small pyramidal version of the cradle that spread the anus or the vagina considerably more than the normal cradle. The normal Cradle was merely a triangle that somebody would be put on, then weights would be attached to their feet.

Flaying was an effective but deadly form of torture. Most victims died after losing about 1/3 of their skin. So it would sometimes leave the person being interrogated dead with unanswered questions.

The Iron Maiden was a coffin esqe device made of iron obviously but it had spikes on the inside facing inward.

Drawing and quartering was more of a form of execution than torture. It involved many stages. The first of which is being dragged by a horse to the place of execution. Second The victim is hanged to near death. Then they are disembowled, and by this point they are most likely dead. Then they are cut or torn by horses into 5 pieces. Then those pieces get placed in a gibbet

The barrel while simple was effective. It essentially was putting a person in a barrelgasp but it gets worse. The filth that piles up from being trapped in the barrel for long periods of time attracts insents. This can easily lead to scaphism. Scaphism is when insects breed and eat inside someones skin. So dying from some disease while trapped in the barrel was pretty common.

The Brazen Bull was made by an ancient greek. This greek made it so that when a fire is lit underneath the bull of metal, the screams of the victim come out as a bulls bellow. The ancient greek who made this, did so to please a mad king who preceeded to put the inventor in the bull.he was very pleased

The Gibbet was a simple cage that was usually elevated above the ground. It was more a form of internment than torture, but longs periods of time in the gibbet could cause birds to get curious.
