Basketball
Description
Basketball is a game in which there are 5 people on each team on the court at any given time. There are 5 positions in basketball. A point guard, this is the player that takes the ball up the court and differs the ball to other teammates. The shooting guard, he is, most of the time, the best shooter on the team. The small forward, he is normally good at everything, he is a decent shooter,rebounder,passer,and defender. The power forward, he normally is a decent shooter, and gets a lot of rebounds. And finally the center, he is the biggest person on the team, he will get the rebounds and plays the best defence. Then there is the bench which is comprised of the rest of the team.
Offensive
There are multiple ways to score in basketball. There is a 2 point shot, 3 point shot, and a free throw, which is worth 1 point. You get a free throw by getting fouled. A foul is when you are in the act of shooting and someone hits you, if you get fouled in the 2 point area you get to shoot 2 free throws, if you behind the 3 point line then you get to shoot 3 free throws,and if you get fouled and make the shot then you get 1 free throw along with the other points you scored, this is called an and-one.

There are 82 games in a season. The top 8 teams from each conference (Western and Eastern) with 15 teams in each conference or 30 teams in total.
